Anatomy of a OneCup

OneCup is another of the single cup formats that work in a Keurig K-cup style coffee brewer.   The OneCup is similar to the UpShot capsule in that there is not a bottom on the capsule other than the filter.    This seems to be an advantage in the final product taste, but may lead to flavor transfer if you use your brewer for teas or flavored coffees.

OneCup from Organic Coffee Company - French  Roast

The OneCup is an open filter on the bottom of the capsule, the top is a hard plastic ring and is covered with the brand and type of coffee on a plastic seal.

"Master Pack" with 12 OneCup Capsules
The master pack is nitrogen flushed and sealed for freshness.   When you open the master pack you can smell the fresh ground coffee, it is a real treat.

Case of 36 OneCup San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser Capsules (3 - 12 count Master Packs)
The OneCup style capsule is used by San Francisco Bay Coffee Company and Organic Coffee Company and are available at http://CoffeeTeaSuperstore.com .  These are both Rogers Family Company brands, roasted and packaged locally in California.

The upside of this capsule systems is value, and a great cup of coffee.   The downsides are keeping the coffee fresh once the master pack of 12 capsules is opened and the potential for flavor transfer since the bottom of the capsule is open and the coffee is not going out the lower puncture needle.
